About Screening Assessments

Screening assessments can be used to dramatically streamline shortlisting by introducing objective psychometric assessments into the application process with virtually no HR or Recruiter administration time required. These 15-25 minute assessments allow for objective candidate benchmarking against role specific competencies.

For example, a typical competency screening assessment for a Call Centre staff member could include the following competencies:

Learning ability / Cognitive Ability – Verbal, Numerical, & Inductive Reasoning
Customer Focus/ Customer Management
Dependability / Retention Predictor
Organisational Values Fit (this would be unique to your organisation)
Virtual Scenario (customer handling in a “live online scenario”

Each assessment takes between 20 and 30 minutes depending on how many competencies are assessed.

For phone based roles we have “virtual simulations” where candidates are required to simultaneously handle callers (at times angry), navigate screens, find policy information to make good decisions while demonstrating customer focus and tactful problem solving. These are highly predictive assessments with realistic job requirements including “kiwi voices”. These assessments are being successfully used at Westpac, IAG, Auckland City and Fisher & Paykel among others for their Call Centre and Collections role.
